These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Haneul (하늘), the Korean drama and film tracking app developed by HaneulCreator ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.
Haneul lets you track Korean dramas and films, rate and review them, organize your watch progress, and optionally connect with other users through community features. The app can be used without an account, with local-only storage, or with an account for cloud sync.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Haneul. If you're under 18, please make sure you have a parent or guardian's permission.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings.
Show and film metadata (titles, posters, cast, synopses) is sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB) and remains the property of its respective rights holders. Haneul is not affiliated with TMDB.
Personal notes, ratings, and lists you create remain yours. You're solely responsible for the content you add, including community posts, profile information, and reviews.
Haneul's community features (public profiles, follow system, discovery) are meant to connect fans of Korean dramas and films in a respectful space. By using these features, you agree to the following conduct rules:
No harassment or hate speech. Content that threatens, bullies, or discriminates based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality is strictly prohibited.
No explicit or adult content. Profile pictures, banners, usernames, and any text content must not contain sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate material.
No impersonation. You may not impersonate another person, public figure, or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
No spam or manipulation. Mass-following, fake engagement, automated bot accounts, and unsolicited promotional content are not allowed.
No spoilers without warning. Please be considerate of other users — avoid posting unmarked spoilers for recently released episodes or films in public areas.
Respect intellectual property. Don't upload copyrighted images, video, or text you don't have the rights to share.
No illegal activity. Using Haneul to facilitate illegal content sharing, piracy links, or any unlawful activity is forbidden.
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, you can report it directly within the app, or contact us at contact@haneul-app.com.
We reserve the right to remove content, restrict community features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines, at our discretion and without prior notice for serious violations. Where appropriate, we'll aim to warn users before taking action on minor or first-time issues.
You may appeal a moderation decision by contacting us at the email above — we'll review appeals on a case-by-case basis.
You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except as permitted by law. You also agree not to interfere with the app's normal operation, attempt unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our servers, or use the app for any purpose that violates applicable law.
Haneul currently accepts voluntary donations via Ko-fi, which are separate from any in-app purchase and not processed through Apple or Google. If paid subscriptions or in-app purchases are introduced in the future, specific terms (including refund policies, in line with Apple App Store and Google Play guidelines) will be communicated and these Terms updated accordingly.
Haneul is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that show/film data sourced from TMDB will always be complete or accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HaneulCreator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data not backed up via cloud sync.
You may stop using Haneul and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the app or specific features for violations of these Terms, as described in the Community Guidelines section above.
We may update these Terms from time to time, particularly as new features (such as subscriptions or advertising) are introduced. Material changes will be notified within the app.
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent French courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.
